A community of highly innovative and creative students

The Queen's Concrete Canoe Team (QCCT) is a multidisciplinary design team that applies engineering principles to design and construct a canoe made of concrete. Each year, we compete against universities from across Canada at the Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition (CNCCC) where we share our design process for our concrete mix, hull, and construction though technical documentation and oral presentations.

Our Values

Community

We are not just building a team, we are building a family. Whether we are in the lab or in the classroom, we pride ourselves on building connections across diverse disciplines, years, and backgrounds.

Education

As students, we are always learning. From hands-on design to project management, we encourage members to apply theory to real-world challenges, providing them with invaluable experiences.

Innovation

We are redefining the definition of concrete. Our team takes creativity and problem solving to the next level, while pushing the boundaries of design, sustainability, and performance.
